Where to list and promote your King's Lynn business

A practical guide for local business owners: free and paid places to be found online, local business networks and how to get the most from a directory listing.

Start with the basics

Before paying for anything, make sure people can find accurate, consistent details about you. Use the same business name, address or service area, phone number and website everywhere you appear. When those details match, customers are less likely to ring an old number or turn up at the wrong door.

Google Business Profile

A Google Business Profile is free and shows your business in Google Search and Maps. Google expects you to meet customers in person, either at your premises or by visiting them. If you work from home and travel to customers, you can show a service area instead of your address.

This directory

This is an independently published directory for King's Lynn and the surrounding villages. A Standard listing is free: you get your own page with a description, photo, website link and contact details, and every listing is reviewed by our team before it goes live. Your private email address is kept for admin use only unless you choose to show a public one.

If you want to stand out, the optional FastTrack + Featured upgrade gives faster review and a higher position. Current prices and terms are on the How it works page. Already listed? You can request an edit link sent to the email address we hold.

Town centre and business networks

If you trade in the town centre, you are likely to be inside the Business Improvement District run by Discover King's Lynn. It promotes town-centre businesses through its website, app, events and campaigns, so it is worth contacting them to check what you are entitled to.

For networking across the wider area, Norfolk Chambers of Commerce runs West Norfolk networking events in King's Lynn and a West Norfolk Chamber Council. Membership costs and benefits are set by the Chamber, so ask them directly.

Visitor-facing businesses

If you run a place to stay, an attraction, a cafe or anything else visitors look for, Visit West Norfolk is the official tourism website for the area. Contact them to ask how local businesses can be included.

Write a listing people want to read

Say plainly what you do, where you work and who you help - for example, a heating engineer covering King's Lynn, the Woottons and West Winch, or a cafe on a particular street. Add a clear photo of your shopfront, van or work, and keep your opening hours and contact details up to date.

Ready to list your King's Lynn business?

Check whether your business is already included, then prepare your description, contact details and image. If you are new to the directory, submit a free Standard listing for review and tell people across King's Lynn and the villages what you do.
